About Red Bull Pro Nationals
So what makes the Red Bull Pro Nationals different to other UK Motocross events?
They’ll be so much going on over a Red Bull Pro Nationals race weekend from our Freestyle Motocross tour that travels to selected rounds of the series to motocross try-out areas for those who want to take their first steps in becoming a motocross hero. We’ll have music, a Trade Village, Kidzone, series merchandising – virtually everything you’d expect from a music festival but with the difference being the rock stars are the racers!
With plenty of the UK’s top motocross venues on the tour, our desire to create a family festival feel coupled with the best racers in the country gives the Red Bull Pro Nationals a truly unique vibe as they sweep across the land.
All the seven rounds of the Red Bull Pro Nationals will incorporate the Red Bull Elite Youth Cup and the 2 Stroke Championship making them an action-packed, full weekend racing programme. This will help the sport to develop, not only for the ability of racers themselves but also for the sport as a whole. Quite simply, this is where it’s at when it comes to British motocross.
In addition to the superb racing action taking place over the two race days there is plenty to see and do for the spectator. There are the amazingly talented freestyle motocross riders appearing in the FMX live freestyle show as well as many motocross experience areas for visitors to have their first go on an off-road motorbike.
So what are the championships that make up the Red Bull Pro Nationals race weekend?
Red Bull Pro Nationals MX1 and MX2
The Red Bull Pro Nationals are the feature races of the weekend with world class MX1 and MX2 riders battling it out over three gruelling races on the best prepared tracks in Great Britain. This fresh, exhilarating series brings together the cream of UK motocross talent plus some super-fast European stars over seven weekends in 2013.
Red Bull Elite Youth Cup
The Red Bull Elite Youth Cup has been a shot in the arm for youth motocross. It’s a series that nurtures the incredible motocross talent we have in the UK. The Red Bull Elite Youth Cup has undoubtedly raised the bar within the British schoolboy racing scene and the racing has been every bit as exciting as any Pro race can offer. The mini warriors of the 65cc class right up to the young men of the Elite Rookie class all have the opportunity to showcase their talents.
It’s our aim is to help groom these young athletes and give them and the sport an opportunity to become household names through sensible organisation and modern media. With the kids racing over the same weekend as the Pros they will have the opportunity to rub shoulders with and learn from the riders they aspire to be. It works two-fold as they’ll also receive the same media attention which will also benefit them on the career path to becoming Pros themselves.
2 Stroke Championship
For the old-school MX enthusiasts that still yearn for the sweet smell and sound of the 2-stroke engine this championship continues to grow in popularity. Not just because of its unique 2-stroke only concept but also for its slick organisation. The seven-round series generates fast and aggressive racing that will certainly entertain.
